"Treat older women as mothers and younger women as sisters, with absolute purity."
I Timothy 5:2
The purpose of the Women's Ministry is to further enhance the spiritual
growth for women of the church (age 18 and older) through:
- Meeting together
- Sharing personal experiences
- Fellowshipping
- Praying
- Supporting each other
The one project of the Women's Ministry is to sponsor and plan an
opportunity for retreat for the women of DuPage AME Church.
History of Women's Ministry at DuPage AME Church
The Women's Ministry is a direct response to the 1999 Women's Day Retreat effort. It was felt
that retreats and deliberate opportunities for the women of the church to retreat together were
edifying and needful for the women of DuPage AME Church. As a result, Pastor Miller formed the
Women's Ministry in September, 2001. The first annual DuPage AME Church Women's Ministry Retreat
was held in May, 2003 under the leadership of Rev. Lana Miller with approximately 200 women in
attendance.

"Breathe on me breath of God

And do what Thou wouldst do"
