Sis. Melanie has been a member of DuPage African Methodist Episcopal Church for over 10 years. She serves on the Stewardess Board and with the Intercessory Prayer Ministry. Her passion for praise and worship led her to join the Praise Team several years ago.

She has always felt there was something else she was supposed to do and her prayer became, "Lord I want what You want for me. I am Your faithful servant seeking Your face. Lord, please do not turn Your face from me." Psalm 27:7-9. He not only answered my prayer but He also showed me the true meaning of the Lord's Prayer when Jesus prayed, "Our Father which art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." For it is truly God's will that I stand before you. What God started years ago for my life in heaven is manifesting every day on Earth.

Sis. Melanie is currently pursing the Master of Divinity degree at Northern Baptist Theological Seminary in Lombard. She has earned a B.S. in Organizational Management and Development from the University of St. Francis in Joliet. She is also enrolled at The Technical School of Medicine in Naperville completing courses in Sonography and Vascular Ultrasound. Sis. Melanie is newly employed in Health Care Management. She and her son Taylor reside in Naperville.
