The EAGLE TRAIL would not have been possible without the help of many kind
and patient people. Mr. Nathaniel Bradley, Sr., Mr. Richard Pettis, and
Mr. Melvin Norton helped me tremendously in reaching my goal.
My thanks to pastor Boyd for allowing me to do the Memorial Garden Project
and the creative freedom to make adjustments as I saw fit. My appreciation
to all who wrote recommendations, to the review board for their favorable
responses, and to my Scout Members who worked after scout meetings helping
me clean, dig, and plant.
I would like to thank those in Naperville during my early years of scouting
and at Dupage A.M.E. church, Mr. Anthony Franklin, Mr. Andrian Thomas, and
of course, Reverends James and Lana Miller for their constant encouragement.
To my parents and brother for pushing me when I got discouraged, for working
long hours in the hot sun and for driving me to and from the church when
necessary to work in the garden. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
None of my accomplishments would be possible without your patience.
Finally, my thanks to all who participated in the ceremony and to those
who took time to celebrate with me today.
