Rev. Marland Brazier
Youth Ministry Coordinator
Rev. Marland joined the membership of DuPage African Methodist Episcopal Church in Fall 1997. Since that time, Rev. Marland has been involved with a number of church ministries: Church Parking, Class Leaders, the YPD (Young People’s Division), Men’s Ministry, Marriage Ministry and the Voices of Praise Choir. Presently, Rev. Marland serves as Youth Ministries Coordinator and works with the leaders of all ministries for youth as well as the Youth Ministers.
The journey toward heeding God’s call to His ministry has truly been a lesson in humility, patience, obedience, spiritual growth and the power of God’s perfect timing – “ . . . in my prayers at all times; and I pray that now at last by God's will the way may be opened for me to come to you.” (Romans 1:10)
Rev. Marland was ordained an Itinerant Deacon in the AME Church at the 124th Session of the Chicago Annual Conference.
Professionally, Rev. Marland is currently employed locally with a leading provider of HR/Payroll business solutions, as a Senior Education Specialist. He has earned both a Master of Science degree in Educational Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science/Business Administration from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. Presently Rev. Marland is pursuing his Master of Divinity degree.
Rev. Marland and his wife, Sanura, currently reside in Aurora and have two children – Anisa & Jordyn.
