Rev. Darryl Franklin acknowledged his "ministerial call" in January 2001. He exhorts simple teaching, "rightly dividing the word of truth" 2Timothy 2:15 for God's glory and an abundant life.
Rev. Darryl Franklin acknowledged his "ministerial call" in January 2001. He exhorts simple teaching, "rightly dividing the word of truth" II Timothy 2:15 for God's glory and an abundant life.
Rev. Franklin is a graduate of Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary with a Masters of Divinity Degree. He has completed graduate work at Northwestern University and earned a BSCS from the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago. Presently he is working on his PhD. in Organizational Development at Benedictine University in Lisle.
Rev. Franklin was ordained an Itinerant Deacon in the AME Church October 2003 and an Itinerant Elder in October 2006.
At DuPage AME Church, Rev. Franklin serves as Director of R.E.A.C.H., our not-for-profit organization, teaches Sunday Church School, and is a member of the Pastoral Support Team.
The Chicago native was raised on the south side and was a twenty-five year member of Faith Lutheran Church where he married the former Sharolyn Murray in 1985.
Rev. Franklin and his wife Shari have two children and reside in Lisle.
