Sis. Connie has been a member of DuPage AME Church since October 1999. Since her joining she has been an active member of many organizations including the Women Ministry, The Class Leader Council, and the Gospel Choir. Sis. Connie serves as a Youth Minister working with the 400+ youth of DuPage through the YPD and Youth Church. She is the 'Pastor' of Youth Church on 1st Sundays.

Sis. Connie preached her initial sermon and was licensed in March 2006. She is seeking ordination through the Chicago Conference Board of Examiners.

Sis. Connie is presently pursuing her Master of Divinity degree at McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago. She has earned an Associate of Applied Science degree majoring in Pre-Law from Faulkner State Community College in Bay Minette, Alabama, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management with a minor in Computer Science from Concordia University in River Forest, Illinois. Professionally Connie has been employed in the communications industry for 10 years. She has won many awards for her service dedication.

Sis. Connie has gone through many trials and tribulations and God has always been right there or sent others to get her through. She accredits the nurturing of her grandmother, Mary Louise Dickerson and many others that has made her the woman she has become. Her life guiding scriptures are taken from Philippians 4:13 "For I can do all things through Christ that strengths me" and Hebrews 13:5 "I will never leave you or forsake you."
